Cilantro & Lime Rice

Bring a tangy twist to your daily menu with cilantro and lime rice. We are sure your kids are going to love this. Payasa rice which is naturally rich in dietary fibre and protein and contains lowest GI compared to any other rice form will be your best choice for this recipe.

INGREDIENTS

Payasa rice- 1 cup
Freshly chopped cilantro or coriander aka dhaniya leaves – 1 tbsp
Juice of 2 lime
Butter 1 tbsp
Salt ½ tsp
Water 2 cups

METHOD

1. In a large saucepan over a low flame, melt butter.
2. Add Payasa rice to it.
3. Add juice from one lime and salt to the rice and stir it well for a good coating.
4. Add water and bring to a boil.
5. Cover and cook the rice in simmer till the rice is tender.
6. Add freshly chopped cilantro and garnish with some more lime juice and serve.
